Hello,

You qualify in NEET a candidate must score minimum qualifying marks specified by NTA. The minimum qualifying mark is the cut off mark and it changes every year depending on number of candidates appeared, highest score in exam, difficulty level of exam, number of seats available etc.

In 2020 the cut off marks for NEET for general category candidates was 50th percentile and 147-720 marks. So candidates scoring minimum 147-720 marks and above will qualify in NEET and are eligible to get admission in a college. This cut off changes every year depending on number of candidates appeared, highest score in exam, difficulty level of exam, number of seats available and previous year cut off. The cut off for NEET 2021 may slightly increase or decrease depending on the above mentioned factors. To have a decent chance of getting seat in a college you need to score minimum 600-620 marks or above.

Hello Aspirant,

See there is nothing like pass in NEET but yes there are qualifying cut-offs which needs to be cleared for admission to medical courses. I am enlisting down the qualifying cut-offs for NEET 2020 as released by National Testing Agency for different categories :-

  • General - 50th percentile - 720-147 marks
  • General-PH - 45th percentile - 146-129 marks
  • SC/ST/OBC - 40th percentile - 146-113 marks
  • SC/ST/OBC-PH - 40th percentile - 128-113 marks

For complete details about NEET 2020 cut-offs kindly check out the link given below :-
