Hello,
The marks that you will be able to score in JEE mains totally depends upon the difficulty level of the exam. For easy papers, the 100 percentile is usually above 180 marks. For difficult papers it goes down to 120+. But it totally depends on how much you can attempt without second guessing the answers, that is marking only the answers that you are sure of so as to avoid negative markings.
Hope this helps.

hi,
see every year cutoff score changes and it depends on certain factors like number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, candidates category, also different colleges has different seat matrix, like nits has 85% seat reserve for domicile candidates. now suppose securing 130 marks in previous year one secured rank of 18k, but this year the marks for 18k rank would be same that has no guaranty. also the closing rank depends on the difficulty level of questions paper . so it would be best to secure as high as score possible which needs to tremendous hard work and practice.
Hey there
Everyone's priority is different but in general a marks 130+ is considered good. There are various NITs, IIITs, GFTI's under Jee mains and there cutoffs varies a lot.
