its depend upon ur 12 percentage mark.as rank will be based on the normalization of ur both 12 mark and jee main exam mark.if u are a CBSE student and u got 95% in 12 then if u will score more than 120 u will get a b.tech seat.after all depending upon ur rank u will get branch also.there is msc subject in NIT also which u can get with low mark also and also depend upon ur homestate reservation.
