Yes, it is right that kvpy has been removed to get admission in iisc Bangalore but that doesn't mean that the cut offs will come down because it depends on many factors such as :-

• Number of applicants applying for iisc Bangalore
• Difficulty level of the examination in different years.
• Previous year cut offs
• Number of seats in the college

If all these factors are to be considered then it is expected that the cut off shall come down this year but again many things govern the cut offs.

The cutoff for CAT examination is a sectional percentile in 80 and overall percentile is 90. Listen to that a composite score is counted which to about 44% overall weightage normalisation. The cutoff trends changes every year and it depends on the number of students appearing in the examination, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc.

Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara had a closing home state rank of 550 in the year 2019 and 409 in the year 2018 for Computer Science and Engineering branch. For Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), the closing rank was 4231 in the year 2019. It was 1554 in 2019 for Mechanical Engineering branch.
