I scored 87.85 percentile in MBA CET as a Maharashtrian OHU/SEBC candidate. Missed Dy Patil Akurdi and Neville Wadia due to 90.50 cutoff. Confused about next steps. Please suggest alternative MBA Colleges in Pune. have budget of 3 lakhs for mba.

Nikita shahi 9th Aug, 2025

Hi Akshay!

With 87.85 percentile and a budget of 3 lakh, there are still solid MBA options in Pune beyond Dy Patil and Neville Wadia. You can consider:

  1. MIT School of Management it has reasonable fees, good corporate links.
  2. Indira Institute of Management (popular among MBA aspirants)
  3. Sinhgad Institute of Management it is large campus, decent faculty.
  4. Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Management (separate from main Dy Patil)
  5. PUMBA’s Executive MBA (if eligible) or similar part-time options

Focus on institutes with AICTE approval and active placement cells. Visit campuses if possible vibe and networking matter in MBA. Don’t forget to check hostel availability if you’re from outstation.

Thanks for asking, and best of luck for your MBA journey!

Hello Im Zeeshan My dcet rank is 7500 I have applied some clgs like BIET, GMIT,BNMIT. I didnt know the cutoff i have applied after 1st round i see the cutoff of this clgs cutoffs is 3500,5500,7143. can i get any clg in 2nd round because in first round seat not allotted. and can i add clgs in 3rd round

Prachi Kumari 21st Jul, 2025

Hi Zeeshan,
Your DCET rank is 7500 and the cutoffs for the colleges you applied to are below your rank, so that’s why you didn’t get a seat in the 1st round.

Yes, there is still a chance to get a seat in the 2nd round if the cutoff goes higher. Cutoffs may increase if some students don’t confirm their seats.

Also, yes, you can add or change colleges in the 3rd round during option entry. So, keep checking the official website and choose colleges with higher cutoffs than your rank for better chances.

Hope it helps!

My tnea cutoff is 194. My tnea general rank is 6153 and my bc community rank is 3328. What are the courses can I get in anna university ceg campus and MIT chennai campus?

sadafreen356 23rd Jul, 2025

In the past, the closing cutoff for CSE and ECE in CEG and MIT for the BC category has been around 198 and above While securing a seat in top branches at CEG and MIT with your current rank might be challenging, you have good potential to get into other branches or colleges within the Anna University system or other reputable institutions in Tamil Nadu.

you can explore other branches and potentially get a seat in later rounds or through management quota.

Sir/Madam, Ive secured admission for ECE at SRM RAMAPURAM and LPU JALANDHAR. With my cutoff of 188, I am most likely to get admission for ECE at RAJALAKSHMI ENGINEERING COLLEGE too thru TNEA. I am confused as to which one to join. please advice.

gopi 5th Jul, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Congratulations! You have multiple admission options!! Here is a short comparison to help you decide:

  • SRM Ramapuram : Good brand value for placement opportunities - placement is the most positive area for the university. Ramapuram is a smaller campus and typically, has more of an industry focus compared to the Kattankulathur campus.
  • LPU Jalandhar: Modern campus with national diversity, they boast good placements in CSE/IT, moderate ECE, and not as core focused. Fees are heavier than your other options and Jalandhar is also more distance from Tamil Nadu.
  • Rajalakshmi Engineering College (REC) : Good name in Tamil Nadu as a part of Anna University. More geared to ECE core learning with affordable fees, better placement at the local level, and less distance.  Probably represents a more stable option for you if you are likely to be TNEA based and expect a long-term outcome.

If you value core ECE, want to be in Tamil Nadu, then Rajalakshmi Engineering College is a solid options. If however, you have an interest in attending a private university with more academics that are flexible and prepared to relocate: SRM Ramapuram is also an option.

How many cutoff of cuet 2025 for admission in MGU college for obc student

Prachi Kumari 8th Jul, 2025

Hello,

The official CUET 2025 cutoff for admission to MGU (Mahatma Gandhi University) is not yet released. Generally, there is only one cutoff list per round, and multiple rounds may happen depending on seat availability.

For OBC students, the expected cutoff may range between 75 to 90 percentile, depending on the course. This means you may need around 150 to 200 marks out of 250. However, exact cutoffs will vary as per course and category.

Hope it helps !

My cutoff 196 Caste MBC I need ceg campus Guindy and mit kedaikuma

OISHEE BANERJEE 2nd Jul, 2025

With a cutoff of 196 and belonging to the MBC category, you have a fair chance of getting into MIT for branches like IT or ECE, and possibly Mechanical. At CEG Guindy, chances for CSE or ECE are slightly tough since their cutoffs for MBC are usually above 197, but it’s not impossible depending on this year’s trends and vacancies in later rounds. Your score is strong, so you should definitely list CEG and MIT as top preferences in your choice filling. Keep participating in all counselling rounds, including sliding and mop-up, to increase your chances.
