The selection is based on JEE Advanced cutoff adjudged by the respective conducting IIT.
For minimum marks for qualifying JEEAdvanced and marks for admission in IIT is fairly different.
Also the total marks of the examination also varies With years.
Here’s a glimpse.
For SC in 2018 the qualifying marks For JEE ADVANCED was as follows
Minimum marks required for rank list- 63( later 45 in revised)
Minimum marks in each subject(PCM) - 6 for each(Overall)
Minimum aggregate marks required - 18% of total marks(Overall)
Minimum marks in each subject - 5% of total marks.(Constant over the years)
If you fulfil each and every parameter of the above stated facts(acc. To 2018) the you will Be eligible for counselling in IITs. However this does not guarantee a seat at the IIT.
Hi adelli . See subject cutoff changes from ywar to year as well as from caste to caste so according to your caste that you have mentioned your cutoff will be around just 5 marks for each subjects in each round as we already know that there are two rounds consecutively in jee advance . But just getting cutoff of subject doesn't get you seat in iits its just pass your copy for further evaluation so will hope you do far better than that .
Hope it helps
