Earlier, the maternity leave for female workers was only limited to most of the government organisations in particular but as per the new rules issued by the Indian government both private as well as government organisations have to compulsory allow maternity leave for female working professionals during their pregnancy period. It depends on the female professional on how much time and in which time span they need this leave in order to look after themselves and the child in particular.
