For JEE (for IT / engineering) :
10th percentage
There is no fixed minimum percentage needed in Class 10 to prepare for JEE.
You just need to pass Class 10 .
Important part is Class 12
You must study Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 11 and 12 .
You must pass Class 12 from a recognized board .
Minimum marks in Class 12
For JEE Advanced : at least 75% marks in Class 12 (65% for SC/ST).
For JEE Main : you must pass Class 12. Many colleges also ask 75% .
If you study in a foreign country
Your Class 11 and 12 certificate must be equivalent to CBSE/ISC .
You need an equivalence certificate from AIU (Association of Indian Universities) .
You must have Physics, Chemistry, Maths .
