Students must have achieved a percentile over 80 on the JEE Main exam in order to be admitted to the best engineering institutes in India (aside from IITs, NITs, or IIITs). Additionally, several of the institutes administer their own tests. Candidates may also take these exams in order to choose a better technical specialty.
