Mostly oil Sectors recruit the metallurgy branch through GATE.

IOCL,SAIL,VIZAG STEEL,BARC,DRDO,CSIR institutes, HINDUSTAN COPPER LIMITED

(HCL)etc

BARC also conducts their own Examination for the recruitment in addition with GATE.

SAIL too conducts their own examination but since 2018 it has started recruiting through GATE.
