Hello Suresh. The number of questions which should be attempted to clear the sectional cut off depends upon the level of difficulty of section. Generally, the sectional cutoff for all IIMs is around 80.

So, my advice would be to prepare hard, irrespective of number of questions to be attempted, and give your best shot.
