There are very few number of seats available in JIPMER. It is one of the best institute for medical science in India. There are 200 seats in JIPMER Pondicherry (P-Sc-7, P-St-3, NRI/OCI-5, ST-9, P-OBC-12, SC-19, P-UR-22, OBC-36, UR-57, EWS-13) and 50seats(includind reservation) in JIPMER Karaikal. Now JIPMER Karaikal seats has increased and it is now 62( P-ST-1, P-Ews- 1, P-SC-2, NRI/OCI-1, ST-2, P-OBC- 3, SC-6, P-UR-9, OBC-12, EWs-4, UR-10).
