There are no particular number of seats for branch change as such. The rule that is followed during branch change is that the strength of no particular branch should change more than 10 percent ( this includes both students who join a particular branch and leave it).

So you need to clear all the subjects in the first two semesters and need to be in the top 10 percent of branch for brannch change.
