Kcet officials do not disclose accurate data on the number of students who applied by category, but the total number of candidates who applied for KCET in 2019 was 1,85,418, out of whom 1,79,000 took the test and roughly 1,26,000 passed.

Although there is no precise picture of the numbers for 2020, it is anticipated that 1,98,536 students took the exam.
