You can't get to know about the total number of students applied before the result. But taking into account of the previous applicants ramge vary from 9Lakhs to 13 lakh. Last years less number of students applied compared to previous year. It's estimated that number will decrease more this time.

Dear Student,

Due to this pandemic situation, the JEE MAIN paper 2 examination has not been conducted in the month of April. It was decided that It can be taken in September, 2020. But yesterday some number of students has complained to the supreme court that, who will take the responsibility if they were having Covid after this examination and is there will be perfect physical distancing.

So, it has not declared that what will be in September. It may be postponed again.
