In this year, only 1.73 lakh students out of 2.45 lakh eligible candidates registered for JEE Advanced 2019 till 9 May, 2019 which is the last date. The number does not include aspirants from Odisha as the Ministry of Human Resource Development extended the last date for online registration to 14 May, 2019 due to the ‘Fani’ cylone. The total number of students appearing for the entrance test has increased only by 8,000 to touch 1.73 lakh, compared to the previous year. From these registered students also some will not write the exam due to various circumstances.
