Hello Tanmay,

A candidate can give JEE Mains 6 times in his lifetime. 2 attempts are given per year. First 2 attempts are alloted when you're studying in 12th standard while rest 4 are in next 2 consecutive years.

While for JEE Advanced, a candidate can give it 2 times in his/ her lifetime. 1st attempt when he/ she is studying in 12 while the other is in the next consecutive year.
