B. Tech in India is 4 year long duration course. It consists a total of  8 semesters that indicates a year will be having 2 semester. A semester duration is probably 5-6 months. If you take dual degree course that means Integrated B. Tech that includes B. Tech + M. Tech then the duration will be 5 year long degree which includes 4 years of B. Tech with 1 year of M. Tech.

Bachelor of Technology is generally a four years long course. So there is no difference in the colleges of Andhra Pradesh and Andhra University is one of those colleges which offers 4 years B.Tech programmes. It is also of four years in the Engineering colleges of Andhra Pradesh. This is regular B.Tech course. For lateral entry programmes in the engineering colleges, the course becomes of three years as they directly join in the second year of the course. The candidates who complete diploma courses are eligible for lateral entry in regular B.Tech course. For Dual degree programme, i.e. B.Tech + M.Tech or B.E. + M.E., the course becomes five years.
