Hi candidate,

IIT (Indian institute of technology) are national level prestigious institutes for engineering. There are total 23 IITs.

To get admission in IIT, the eligibility criteria is:

• To pass class 12th with PCM (Physics Chemistry and Mathematics) background
• Minimum percentage required is 75% for general candidate and 65% for SC/ST candidates
• They need to just clear the JEE Mains then to have good position in JEE Advanced.
• The admission in IIT are only done through JEE advanced. There are not any other way.

For SC candidates, if overall marks in JEE advanced is around 40, they have good chance of getting IIT Admission.
