I would like to tell you that you would need to clear JEE MAINS with a very good score to be able to join NIT, Trichy.

In terms of 12th board exams marks , it is used as an basic eligibility that you will have to pass XII with a good score for NIT's and 75% for IIT's.

To be eligible to take admission in NIT Trichy or any other NIT, then you need to score a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in your 12th board exams or you need to be in the Top 20 percentile of your respective board if you belong to the General Category. For the reserved categories the minimum aggregate required in 12th is 65% marks.
