Basically,  25 marks are required to  get through the gate(as per past 4 years statistics). And you need to score at least 75  so that at least you'll get some good rank and also it depends upon how many people participed in that etc..,
It's the direct point I. E..,  more marks more opportunities and it depends on your category too.

The qualification marks for GATE ECE as per previous years statistics it is approximately around 25 marks. And in order to get into a PSU directly for interviews the score should be above 55. And besides that after qualifying GATE you will be having various technical and non technical rounds before the interview.
