Hey,
The admission to Medical colleges in India is through marks scored in NEET.
Every year the cutoff for NEET  changes depending upon the difficulty level of the question paper, the number of candidates appearing for the examination, the category of the candidates etcetra.
There are two types of cutoffs:
Qualifying cutoff and Admission cutoff.
Qualifying cutoffis the minimum cutoff percentile and scores needed to qualify the entrance exam. Candidates who qualify this cutoff are only eligible to apply for admission.
Admission cutoffis the cutoff which is declared by the colleges for admitting students.
NEET 2020 qualifying cutoff percentile is as follows:
General- 50th
General-PH- 45th
SC/ST/OBC- 40th
SC/ST/OBC-PH- 40th
Now, for admission to government medical colleges, there are two types of seats. All India Quota seats and State quota seats.
To get admission through 15 percent All India Quota, you should aim to secure 600+ marks in the NEET exam and for state quota seats aim 550+ marks to get admission in government colleges.
So,kindly mention the name of your home state to get detailed information.
However, you can use the link below to check the previous year cutoff:

Hope this helps.
Good luck.

You haven't mentioned your Category. This is important because cut offs do change based on the Category you belong to and the Stare you hold the domicile of. For example if you belong to UP and have OBC reservation, you will need nothing less than 555-600 for a seat in a GMC. For a seat under SC/ST Categories, you will need atleast  500-525. Now cut pffs change every year dependi g on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So please do let us know your Category and the State you belong to. For guidance in NEET counselling and admission, you can use our MBBS Companion: https://www.careers360.com/mbbs-companion

In 2018, under General Category, 469 was the cut off. But in 2019, 575 was the cut off. So if you want a seat in a GMC you should score more than 625. But if you are fine with even Private Medical Colleges, you still need a score of 500-550.

You need to get above 500 in NEET 2020 for a government medical college and below this for private ones but their fees is very high , so all you need is to score more and more.
