First you need to qualify JEE Main. The qualifying marks for JEE Main 2018 was 74 on 360. The qualifying marks change every year. 

Now the cutoffs vary from college to college. 

For example :- Year :- 2018 for IIIT Hyderabad for computer science engineering it was 230-250+. 

So try to score best of your capability so that you can get college and branch of your choice.

Marks s not the criteria rank matters only.
And you will get NIT at 130 score also
But depends upon your state and  category .
And you the NIT and branch you want.
For a general category student you should score 150+
Or rank under 25000
To get admitted in NIT
But if you want higher core branch and higher rank NIT  than you have to score accordingly.
You can check previous year ranks for the specific college and branch you are interested.
