To be eligible to apply for admission, applicants must have earned a higher secondary diploma or equivalent from a recognised school or board with a minimum grades of 65% (with a minimum of 60% in PCM). For admission to practically all institutions and universities in India, ST/SC/ and OBC applicants receive a 5 percent mark exemption. Additionally, there is a distinct quota of seats allocated for OBC, SC, and ST candidates.

There are additional institutions that accept applicants with an overall grade point average of at least 40%.
