Central Universities55% or more in B.Sc. with Zoology as a major subject

State UniversitiesUsually 50% or above (some accept 45% for reserved categories)

Private Universities45% to 50% in B.Sc., often with relaxed criteria

IITs/IISERs (if through JAM)55% (General), 50% (SC/ST/PwD), and must qualify JAM exam

Aim for at least 50–55% in Zoology and overall B.Sc.
