You should score above 150 to get into good colleges and that too in top branches.

Since boards aren't being considered,

It is really difficult to tell how the ranks will be affected next year..

Especially because boards make a huge difference in the ranks

(Eg. I am in PEC CSE 201620 and our rank opener has scored around 150)

The best i can do is make a GUESS

Maybe around 200220 marks and you are safe for PEC atleast.

Buck up; you have plenty of time :)

All the best!

Hey Prateek,
You cannot actually predict the exact cutoff marks because that changes every single year and changes from category to category. All you can hope it is enough for many people to qualify easily.

All the best buddy :)

Hello Prateek,

PEC may be in scope if you are getting marks above 130.

Since this varies every year on the cutoff , there is not any full proof of this but still entry into PEC might be possible with 130 marks and above .

Ranks lies somewhere around below mentioned. These are just generalisations and are not accurate, but it might help you to get idea about the probability.

CSE - 10k

ECE - 15k

Mechanical - 20k

Electrical - 25k

Civil - 55k

Production - 54k

Aerospace - 60k

Metallurgy - 65-70k

Thank you

Respected Sir,
For getting into PEC, you need atleast 35000 rank. For such a rank, you might need more than 120-130 marks... However , this also depends on the course you want to pursue. If you want CSE, you need more than 160.
Hope I was able to help you.
Thanking you.
