Survey of physicians indicate that cardiothoracic surgeon work for more than 60 hours per week on average while younger cardiothoracic  surgeon work for more than 80 hour per week.

And general  surgeon work for an average of 12.7 hours a day and around 63.5 hours per week.

Doctor's and police officers do work for particular timings but they seriously work or need to work even on there of duty's. So in common not all hospitals have same timings nor all the doctors have same job timings. Here casually doctors will be available for 5 to 8 hours in a day in hospital and there Shifts keeps changing once in a month or twice. So timings can't be said correctly
