It would be much better if you could mention which institute you are talking about.

I would like to tell you that Institutes set a certain required percentage for students to be eligible for that particular institute.

Also the percentage set is for class 12th and not just PCM.

For example for general category one has to score minimum 75% in 12th or be in top 20 percentile of respective board to be eligible for jee mains.

So you can check the eligibility criteria in institute’s website.

If you are talking about getting admission on the basis of 12th marks then I would say that you have to score really nice such as above 96%.

But different colleges have set different criterias,so you can check those.
