Cutoff for B.A. English Literature varies with the university, entrance test (e.g., CUET), and category.

CUET-Based BA English Literature Cutoffs (2024–2025)

1. Central University of Karnataka (CUK)

• General: 102–143 (Round 1), goes as low as 34–70 in open counselling
• OBC: 71–91 (Round 1), as low as 22 in open counselling

• Cutoffs are way higher, usually higher than 95 percentile or 96%+ in best-of-four subjects or CUET score.

• Cutoffs may be lower, between 48–67 marks in a few instances.

Minimum Eligibility

Most universities ask for a minimum of 50% aggregate in 10+2 to be eligible to apply.

• For best central universities, try to score a CUET percentile of 95 or 96%+ in 12th.
• For such universities as Central University of Karnataka, CUET marks of 102–143 (General) are generally required in the first round, followed by lower cutoffs in subsequent rounds.
