Hello Aspirant,

See the latest notification issued by NMC regarding the new policy of fee of private medical colleges and Deemed Universities, clearly states that the fee for 50% of total intake should be on par with that of the government medical colleges of a particular state and this decision will be implemented from the next academic year i.e. 2023-24.

This draft is only for fee regulation, it will not impact seat matrix but yes this will have impact on cut-offs in NEET UG 2022 counselling, this is because deemed universities are also available on the lower marks in NEET UG and by this time what usually happens is that most of the students do not take admission in deemed universities because of their higher fee structure although deemed universities have much better infrastructure, better facilities and so on are the things for what they charge such higher amount of fee but if the fee would be reduced up to the level of government medical colleges then definitely the students would be more diverted towards private colleges and deemed universities because if such facilities are being provided in such lower fee then definitely more number of students would inclined towards private colleges or deemed universities. So the cut-off would increase most probably from NEET UG 2022 but it is not confirm yet as there are many factors that might regulate the cut-offs of that year.

If you are scoring around 450-500 or more in NEET UG then definitely you hold good chances to secure your seat in some deemed universities even after having a slighter hike in cut-offs because for now they have cut-offs as low as 160-190 marks out of 720 marks.
