Group A Colleges: These do not differ much from IIT, if we leave the Brand name aside.

1. IIIT Hyderabad: The best college for Computer Science if you really want to be the CS King. And the JEE Mains score required for securing a seat is around 260–280.
2. Top 5 NITs: These could be your best choices via JoSAA, if you have a really good JEE Mains Rank below 1,500. These Include NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, NIT Rourkela, NIT Surathkal, and MNNIT(Allahabad)
3. The separate Boss colleges: These colleges do not come under JoSAA counselling rather you need to apply via their separate counselling process. The Colleges are Delhi Technological University(Formerly DCE), NSUT Delhi, IIIT Delhi, and IGDTU for Women. You will need a rank 
4. ranging from 200–20,000 to get a seat here.

Group B Colleges: These are a bit compromising colleges if we compare the Level of Education with the Group A Colleges. But still they are acceptable if you do not want to drop.

3. Stand Alone Private Colleges:These colleges are slightly different from the Group C Colleges because of the Quality of Teachers they have. These include: Thapar University, LNM IIT Jaipur, and Jaypee. You can get admission in Thapar or LNMIIT if you have a JEE Mains Score Around 140–150. Jaypee: Jaypee Group has four Colleges in its group, out of which I would say only JIIT Noida and JUIT Waknaghat are worth considering. The Rank requirement is also low and you can get admission in Computer Science if you have Rank Below 1.6 Lakh. A good choice if you have ruined your JEE Mains.

Group C Colleges: The colleges like Amity University, Sharda University, Galgotia, and all the other Colleges which give you aDiscount on Tuition fee if you secure a JEE main rank below 2 lakh.
