Hope you are doing great. Candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in this area must enroll in translation or language courses at their local university and earn a Bachelor's degree in the language they wish to become fluent in. For instance, if a student wants to work as a translator for a bank, they must apply to both a degree programme in finance and a diploma or certificate programme in a foreign language.

Make sure the ATA exam supports the language you plan to use. Join the ATA (for at least 4 weeks prior to testing) and reaffirm your commitment to ethics.  Pay the translator certification fees.  Examine for the ATA certification. Pass the test.

For becoming a certified language translator you need to follow the mentioned below steps:

  1. First of all unit to do a certificate course or diploma course in language translation.
  2. You need to train yourself with relevant translation skills such as computer skills writing skills language degree and source language.
  3. Try to apply for internship opportunity as a language translator on campus and off campus.
  4. You can apply for job opportunities in various newspapers magazines teaching institutions, publishing organisation, airline offices etc.
