In order to become Income Tax Officer,you need to appear for SSC CGL.The minimum education requirement to be recruited as Grade C and B inspectors is to be a graduate in any discipline.
The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 27 years. The reserved category is given five years relaxation in age.

The candidate needs to write civil services examination and opte Indian Revenue Service (IRS), you can become an income tax officer. The eligibility for writing civil services exam is any degree and the age limit is 32 years or you can give the exam 6 times either of one. You can give 6 times only before you hit 32 years of age.
