Dear Aspirant,

First year of btech is too early to become a data scientist. You should, right now, concentrate on your college life, your personality development and your mental growth. Also focus on your marks as you should have to score around 70% in Btech for many fields.

Now coming onto how to become a data scientist, Here's what you can do. You can learn basic programming,  in Python. Start solving some coding problems on Hackerearth or Hackerrank. Try to be fluent in Python as it is the coding language used in data science. You should first get familiar with coding, then in your third year you can join some Udemy courses or Coursera courses in data science. Both of these platforms have very good content.
