Working as an IIT professor is one of the most prestigious and high-paying jobs in India. To become a professor in IIT, you have to do your B.Tech. first. Then, you have to complete you M.Tech and then do a Ph.D. It is a given that all your education should be done in very reputed colleges and universities. You also need at least one Post-Doc and some research papers in the relevant field are desirable. You need at least 10 years of experience. 6 years of that should come as working as an Associate Professor.
