An Associate's or bachelor's degree in aviation, aeronautics or a comparable discipline, is usually required to be a pilot. In addition, a pilot must have good depth perception, quick reaction time, good communication, problem-solving skills, and the knowledge of on-board systems and the ability to monitor them.
