In Sastra some percentage of seats are filled through JEE Mains and some percentage of seats are filled by Merit obtained in Intermediate. So you can get seat in any one way.

If you have good score in JEE Mains than in Intermediate then it is easy to get seat through JEE Mains score for you. If your Intermediate score is good than JEE Mains score then you can apply through Merit basis.
