Your state will conduct separate counselling to admission in M.E/M.tech in government and private colleges in your state.You have not mentioned your state.In states like Telangana TS PGECET counselling and Andhra Pradesh and AP PGCET counselling for admission in M.E/M.tech through GATE score in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh respectively.Candidates who have qualified in GATE can register online and participate in counselling.
To join in IITs and NIITs for M.Tech course we write GATE which is a national level exam. To get into state universities we need to give exams like TS PGECET or AP PGECET which are state level exam if you score a good score and clear the cutoff then you can get in to state universities.
