  Dear aspirant,

There are five sections namely English, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Mathematics. One should start early preparation and regular revision. Whatever small doubt you get should be cleared. Analyze previous year papers and study as per chapter weightage. Divide the study material that is available online and in books as per priority into ‘Core Sources’ and ‘Peripheral Sources’

Your Core Sources would include:

Universal L.L.B. ( Go through and revise from this book at least twice) be very familiar with it.

Read ‘The Hindu’ (preferably) or Indian Express (alternatively) with regularity. There is a way to effectively read the newspaper for greater efficiency. (Reading it well completes 40 percent of your preparation)

Normal Lewis for English Grammar and understanding vocabulary.

Know the past year papers for CLAT and NLS Bangalore inside out.

Follow a good vocabulary book or Barron’s 800 essential word list.

Pearson for static Gk

Past year papers for maths, logic and DI are sufficient

Once you are thorough with this you can go to peripheral sources.

daily GK current affairs quiz- websites like GK today and GK duniya are helpful.

A word a day vocabulary list

Online material exclusively for CLAT

Mock test series to test the level of your preparation.

Reader’s digest vocabulary list

Manorama year book.

Competitive exams such as CLAT are about consistency. You can be an average student at high school and still do wonders in this exam if you follow a fixed strategy.

Smart work coupled with a logical amount of hardwork will reap benefits.

Sticking exclusively to the Core sources and being very thorough with them will give you a massive edge over others in your preparation.

Feel free to ask me in the comment box if you are having any further doubts

hope you find it helpful

Good Luck!

dear candidate,

If you have a good command over English language by which you can interpret the questions in English , Legal reasoning , Critical reasoning. Have a knack of General awareness and keep track of the same and can manage a score of anything between 8–12 out of 20 in Numeric ability you can .

But make sure you take a mock test series of some prep academy

To decide whether you can or not make sure you see all the past year papers and check whether you have it what it take
