yes the entrance exam is going to be conducted online from this year first round for which will be going to held in december 2018 you can check official website for furthur details

regarding how to prepare for JNU MA sociology u se books preferred in JNU B.A. exams. You just need to complete JNU’s B.A.(Sociology) syllabus y ou will be asked to give sociological interpretation of current situation, event etc. It is therefore important to keep yourself updated about contemporary social issue. However majority of questions will be from syllabus. you can expect question from themes like

  1. Sociological Thought: Marx, Durkheim. Weber, Parsons, Spencer, Comte etc.
  2. Research Methodology and techniques
  3. Indian Society: Poverty, Family, Kinship etc.
  4. Society and polity
  5. Society and economy
  6. Technology
  7. Caste and class system
  8. Concepts like Golbalization, Modernization, Sanskritization and Localization.
