Hello Aritra
For preparing any competitive exam it may be neet AIIMS jipmer.. All it requires is your hard work , dedication and your ability to learn from your mistake..
Suppose if don't get any answer ..take it in a positive way by thinking it as an opportunity and open your text book and refer that answer. IAM damn sure you will never forget that answer again.
Revision is the key to success...
The best way to revise things is by asking questions to others .. It will retain your answers and also help your friends too..
Once your done reading a concept explain the concept to your friends this is also the best way to retain for long-term basis
Basically The Funda is "The more you explain to people the more you retain it...
And coming to books NCERT is the holy book to be followed.
All the best

Hello Aritra,

Preparation is a balance between time and revisions.earn the core concepts. Stay desciplining and try to clock 100 hours a week.

Make a study group, and keep revising and asking each other questions. Do as many MCQ's as possible. Keep taking mock tests.

The best books you can refer to are the NCERT,

For biology, refer the following.

1) Trueman's Biology vol 1 and vol 2

2) Dinesh- Objective biology

3) Pradeep publication Biology

4) GRB'S Publication Biology.

For Physics refer to he following books.

1) H.C.Verma - Concepts of Physics.

2) D.C Pandey - Objective Physics.

3) Fundamentals of physics by Walker

4) Problems in Physics by I.E.Irodov

For chemistry you can refer the following books

1) O.P Tandon - Physical Chemistry

2) Morrison and Boyd - Organic Chemistry

3) Modern ABC's of chemistry

4) J.D.Lee Inorganic chemistry

5) Dinesh

Ncerts are mandatory to have, refer the rest of the books and find out which one suits you. I would advice you not to buy all the books but to refer them and see which one is better for you.

In the end it doesn't depend upon which book is better but how good can you understand the concepts

Also, for the general knowledge subscribe magazines, they will be useful.

Hope this helps.

Goodluck!

Hi Aritra

Yor are on the right platform Careers360 for the expert guidance.

Focusing directly on the query, for achieving the aim, start solving the MCQs and previous years paper. Your success will depend on the strategy you made and the way you follow it.

Remember the golden rule, make as many as mistake you can while practising but with a condition. The only condition is never make the similar mistake and learn from the previous one. The more you practise the more you make mistake , the more you learn and the more you can answer accurately in Exam.

Focus on it.

For biology, try to study NCERT, direct questions are asked based on line given in NCERT cahpters. Thats the main reason everyone suggest to read NCERT thoroughly. Some of the chapters seems to be difficult for readind or learning, but please manage to keep the review of all the chapters as all are important and question can be asked from anywhere.
