How to start preparing for gate exams?Which are the books available to prepare for EE branch?

Dear Shilpa,

Here are the books for electrical engineering branch -

  • Advanced enginnering mathematics by E.Kreyszig.
  • Transient Analysis of electric power circuits by Arieh L Shenkmann.
  • Circuit theory - analysis and synthesis by Abhijit Chakrabarti.
  • Elements electromagnetics by William H.Hayt.
  • Signals and system BBY Oppenheim and Wilsky.
  • Signals and system by PS Bimbhra.
  • Power systems engineering by Nagrath and Kothari Power Systems by JB Guptha and CL Wadhwa.

Firstly make an effective schedule accordingly. Know the exam pattern and time duration and everything related to the exam. Solve mock test and sample test papers as much as possible. Take proper rest and eat well. Be confident on your knowledge.
