Hello Harsh!!
As you asked about the post of Research Scientist, I firstly want to clear you one thing, JEE Mains and Advance is not everything that a student can do.

There are many others streams too and the way a person can become a Research Scientist.
The student should get his/her Bachelor's Degree in the stream in which she want to do research in future like clinical research, information technology research scientist, medicine, biology etc.

Then after getting Bachelor's Degree, he should get Master's Degree in particular stream. If the College or University is not offering the course, then candidate has to give Graduate Record Examination (GRE) . This program will also be there for three to five years.

The most important one is the earlier work experience, the aspirant should have at least one year of experience as a research assistant on some topic and it should be before Ph.D program.

Many institutions ask for the proper certifications too from the verified agencies but in most cases, they don't ask for it.
After that, if candidate want to be as a Lead Research Scientist, then he/she have to complete doctorate degree after completing the Masters degree. This will take four to five years.
In this degree, they will defend their researches through formal processes.

So, There is a lot of scope in this field and many countries are searching for the research scientists of different country welfare issues topic.
Overall, anyone can pursue this as a career without JEE Mains and Advance.

Hope that my answer helped you.

All the Best for your Future Goals !!

Hi Harsh

You can become research scientist even after completing your graduation (Bachelor of Sciences).

And the field of research will be based upon your graduation subjects. There are many students who join the field of research by working on various projects just after their graduation while some go for higher studies and then choose the field of research.

And after your experience of few years in this field you can become a research scientist.

Thanks
