o make more interest in JEE Exam govt. has decided to increase the seats for girls in IITs and other exams.

The exam is conducted every year and the maximum population in exams is boys.

This year the girls quota has increased to 14% of total seats in JEE Exams in 2018

As the JEEC Advanced form is going to be released from 2nd May 2018 it is going to be helpful for girls to appear in JEE Exam and take admission in India’s best Engineering Colleges

The quota would be increased upto 20% by 2026 as per govt. and admission board has has decided

The girl's reservation will go on the fact that there will another rank list only for the girls according to their marks where their rank will be lesser than their common merit list rank. For example:- if a girl has CRL Rank 2400 then in the girl's merit list her rank may bounce up to 350-400.

Yes it helps in branch selection but this has no affect on the branch selection for boys.
