Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchirapalli is a government owned co-ed college. It was established in 1951, and now it is affiliated with Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli. It has got NAAC 'A' accreditation. It has a campus size of 87 acres and a faculty of 476 members. The total number of students enrolled to this college are 10989. The college provides many facilities like, cafeteria, auditorium, WiFi, IT infrastructure, laboratories etc. 

This college has a seperate department for its MBA degree named Jamal Institute of Management, Tiruchirapalli. It is AICTE approved and NBA accredited. 

This college allots 120 seats to MBA aspirants every year on the basis of TANCET, i.e., Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test. This is followed by a group discussion and personal interview. 

The tentative date for TANCET M.B.A 2019 is May 19, 2019. Also the fee structure of this 2 year post graduation degree is 2 lakhs.

Jamal Institute of Management, is concerned about developing a managerial aptitude and thinking skills. Therefore they have an Industry Institute Partnership Centre (IIPC) which ensures setting up of CEO forums, organising activities such as Executive Development Program for Industries, business lectures and undertaking consultancy work. Also, students make industrial visits every semester and make reports about the same.
