The class XII improvement examination  rules for Maharashtra Board are as follows:

1. A candidate who has passed the class XII but want to improve the scores of the individual subjects so much so that the aggregate percentage improves.
2. The improvement examination can be given only in the successive year of passing the class XII examination.
3. Students can appear only in the theory papers of the individual subjects.
4. The practical marks are carried from the marks that was obtained in the practicals of the previous year in the individual subjects.
