i am a it branch 1st year student and i want to prepare for gate examination from now how should i prepare for it.

1- Know about the GATE Examination

 

2-Know the Syllabus & Weightage of  each subject

 

3-Select Good Books & Materials for GATE preparation.

 

4-Solve previous year papers.

 

5-Make your own time-table.

 

6-Do your revision properly

 

7-Practice Mock Test

This is very good to know that you are serious about this, but I would suggest you to start your Gate preparation from 3rd year itself as that is the ideal time. So better to focus on your B.Tech syllabus as this is the time to clear all your basic concepts.
