See this are very legally technical terms. As per the notification of the EWS its mentioned that the Family must not have the given conditions in order to be eligible for the EWS reservations.

Now what defines a Family is a term of legality. I would recommend you to contact a lawyer about this and he/she will guide you out regarding it. See if you declare yourself to be distinct then you can be eligible for the EWS but still it would be better to contact a lawyer to get transparent about the legalities.
