rank of 7229 getting general medicine a government college in Tamilnadu considering the very high competition from the state of Tamil Nadu this time where in we consider almost  one in 7 candidates who has qualified for the neet PG 2019 examination isis fr Tamilnadu is going to be a tough ask

However with a rank of 7229 you do have ideologically good chances of getting MS general surgery and Ms gynaecology apart from other diploma courses in different medical related streams and I would still recommend you to sit for the state round of counselling as you never know what result you might be awaiting in the mop up round and give your preferences accordingly whether it be general medicine, pediatrics of psychiatry or some other branch

All the best
