SRM is a private university. They conduct there own exam called as SRMJEEE. Admission to all undergraduate courses into university is based on  score obtained in that exam. 

However univerity also has a provision for direct admission, following are the entry ticket for direct admission

1. Top rank holders of central and state board of examinations

2. Top 1000 rankers in IIT JEE Main

So the exam which are you talking about in your question is JEE Advanced and it is in the month of may. So if you can get rank within 1000 in JEE Main you will get direct admission into SRM college. Otherwise you will have to answer SRMJEEE.

Yes,you can get but  terms are 

Srm university has own entrance exam .you have to apply and you have to qualify the exam.

Then JEE mains marks will help to get desired branch in University.

In order to get admission in SRM Chennai , you have to appear in SRMJEE examination . This examination is compulsory for this particular college . It is an online examination of 2:30 hours . Subjects are :-

Physics,Chemistry,Mathematics/Biology.

SRMJEEE 2019 SRM Institute of Science and Technology has released online mock test of SRMJEEE 2019 on January 30. This for the first time when the authorities have released the SRMJEEE 2019 mock test. In order to take the mock test of SRMJEEE 2019, candidates just simply log in with their email- ID and register with all the requisite details. The registration for SRMJEEE 2019 is going on from October 27, 2018. The last date to apply for SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE) 2019 is March 31.
So still time is there
