Dear Asima

As per previous year trends (2017), it seems unlikely that a rank of 1661 will fetch you a course in Chemistry in JAM. This is when we are talking about the general category. Last year, the closing rank for CY (Chemistry) was 342 rank in general category with admission in IIT Jodhpur.

Dear AsimaI forgot to mention that this year NITs, IISER, IIScB will also take admission on the basis of JAM scores. The cutoff for those institutes may however fetch you an institute at this rank. Wish you all the best!
